Emily Shields is an Administrator of Programs and Services at CASE. She currently trains and coaches classroom teachers and paraprofessionals on a variety of topics. Prior to that, she was a Structured Teacher at Briar Glen Elementary School in District 89 for 5 years. Her classroom was featured by a humanitarian organization as an autism demonstration classroom. Emily spends much of her summer consulting with families that have children on the Autism Spectrum. She has been a trainer for Structured Teaching Workshops for Have Dreams/The Autism Program (TAP).
Tiffany Becker is an Instructional Support Team Facilitator for CASE. She has been part of CASE's IST team for 3 years. Previously, Tiffany was a classroom teacher for 6 years for students with Autism, ADHD, and other related health impairments. She has worked in both the public school setting and therapeutic day setting. She has also been CASE's CPI instructor for the past three years putting an emphasis in verbal de-escalation techniques. She has consulted in a variety of different school districts and classroom settings.
Free of charge for CASE member districts and staff (Districts 15, 16, 41, 44, 87, 89, 93).
$100 for the training for all other registrants. Materials are included unless otherwise noted.
The Cooperative Association for Special Education (CASE) is a joint agreement between Marquardt School District 15, Queen Bee School District 16, Glen Ellyn School District 41, Lombard Elementary School District 44, Glenbard Township High School District 87, Community Consolidated School District 89 and Community Consolidated School District 93 in DuPage County. CASE provides varied supports so that each member district can offer a complete range of services to students with special needs between the ages of 3 and 22 years.
