Details
Flex CPI Initial Class starts with participants completing the first portion of the class online. This introduces participants to the basic concepts of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. The online portion typically takes 2-3 hours. The online portion is followed by a classroom experience. The follow up in-person session explores the content of CPI and NVCI a little bit further. The classroom portion should last about 3-4 hours.


Presenter(s)

Tiffany Becker is an Instructional Support Team Facilitator for CASE. She has been part of CASE's IST team for 3 years. Previously, Tiffany was a classroom teacher for 6 years for students with Autism, ADHD, and other related health impairments. She has worked in both the public school setting and therapeutic day setting. She has also been CASE's CPI instructor for the past three years putting an emphasis in verbal de-escalation techniques. She has consulted in a variety of different school districts and classroom settings. 



Continuing Education

This event does not meet the ISBE requirements to provide professional development hours or CEU credits, however participants will receive a CPI card upon completion.


Fees

Free of charge for CASE member districts and staff (Districts 15, 16, 41, 44, 87, 89, 93).
$100 for the training for all other registrants. Materials are included unless otherwise noted.

The Cooperative Association for Special Education (CASE) is a joint agreement between Marquardt School District 15, Queen Bee School District 16, Glen Ellyn School District 41, Lombard Elementary School District 44, Glenbard Township High School District 87, Community Consolidated School District 89 and Community Consolidated School District 93 in DuPage County. CASE provides varied supports so that each member district can offer a complete range of services to students with special needs between the ages of 3 and 22 years.
