Mindy Long is a licensed teacher for the Deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) and administrator for CASE Itinerant Services (CIS). She supervises teachers for the Deaf and hard of hearing and teachers for the visually impaired assigned to 64 school districts in DuPage and Cook counties. Mindy worked as a DHH classroom and itinerant teacher for nine years. Prior to CASE she served as Special Education Coordinator with KCSEC in elementary and junior high schools. She also supervised KCSEC’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program, Itinerant Services, and worked to develop a strong Educational Sign Language Interpreter team. Mindy enjoys researching and learning about auditory processing disorder, visual impairment, and communication needs.
Free of charge for CASE member districts and staff (Districts 15, 16, 41, 44, 87, 89, 93).
$100 for the training for all other registrants. Materials are included unless otherwise noted.
The Cooperative Association for Special Education (CASE) is a joint agreement between Marquardt School District 15, Queen Bee School District 16, Glen Ellyn School District 41, Lombard Elementary School District 44, Glenbard Township High School District 87, Community Consolidated School District 89 and Community Consolidated School District 93 in DuPage County. CASE provides varied supports so that each member district can offer a complete range of services to students with special needs between the ages of 3 and 22 years.
