Course Information

Course Purpose:
To provide health care professionals with up-to-date information regarding a variety of abuse situations.

Target Audience
Health Care professionals

Conference Objectives: 

The health care professional will be able to
1) Identify who needs to report abuse
2) Review the reporting process
3) Define types of abuse: child, intimate partner, elder abuse
4) Review available victim assistance

Course Location & Parking

Howard Hall, located in the Clarkson College Students Center
104 South 41st Street, Omaha NE 68131

Parking is available in The Nebraska Medical Center 'blue' Patient/Visitor parking garage located on the southeast corner of Douglas and 44th Sts. Entrance to the parking garage is on Douglas Street. The conference is held one block east, past 42nd Street in the Student Center. 
Please allow enough time to get to find parking and get to the conference area.

Attendance at the entire educational event is required for continuing education. Partial credit is not provided.

Pre-registration is required. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated. 
Clarkson College Alumni Association paid members: $20.00
Clarkson College undergraduate and graduate students: $10.00

All other Health Care Providers and/or students: $40.00

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation is possible with a full refund if Professional Development is notified prior to 8:00 am Friday September 14, 2012. After that an indiviudal may transfer their registration to another person. Cancellations received after 8:00 am Friday September 14, 2012 are non-refundable. Refunds are not provided if an individual does not attend or does not stay for the entire program.
