Details
This SEVEN day workshop is designed for classroom teachers that teach science in grades K-12 and will provide participants with experience in implementing the New Illinois Learning Standards for Science incorporating the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in your science teaching.
The training is organized to allow teachers to experience what students will be expected to do in the NGSS classroom as well as learn strategies to facilitate science learning for their students. It is a great opportunity to learn with colleagues and collaborate on transforming your teaching practices and curriculum to align with the new standards and help students learn science in a way that will provide them with ways to connect science concepts to experiences, which leads to a more meaningful understanding of abstract concepts for students.
Come and see how you can make science more exciting and interesting for students as well as reinvigorate your passion for science teaching.
