Google Sites is more than a website. It is a very powerful collaborative tool— a way to put all your Google Docs, Google Calendars and Google Forms in one place and share it with your team. You can edit a Google Site together with someone else in real-time, and see each other’s changes live. You can publish the site for everyone to see or restrict sharing permissions and make the site accessible only to people you want to share it with. This workshop will give you the basics to get started creating your own Google Site. This session will incorporate instructor-led demonstration and hands-on guided practice. Please feel free to bring your laptop.
At the completion of this workshop, participants will be able to create, update and publish a Google site. They will understand how to share the site and use it for collaboration.
New and beginner users of New Google sites that need to be able to create and modify simple web sites that support collaboration between different editors.
Existing users of Classic Google Sites that will be moving to New Google Sites.
1 hour plus an additional half hour for open Q & A.
