Every class, regardless of enrollment, has pedagogical and organizational challenges that create barriers to deep learning and efficient instruction. This session focuses on pedagogical and organizational challenges in the large class. Pedagogical challenges include helping students to feel less anonymous, strategically planning course time, and evaluating learning. Organizational challenges include anticipating many contingencies due to variability of students, and covering course content in an engaging way.
