Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service 2014
'Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?”
Kent State University faculty, staff, and students will engage in service to a variety of non-profits in our area. Breakfast and lunch provided and we will meet at the Cohn Jewish Student Center (613 E. Summit St). Service sites are still in the process of being confirmed. You will choose the service site of your choice the morning of the event. Site selections will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Here is a list of sites that we had last year to give you an idea of what to expect this year: Campus Kitchen Project, Hattie Larlham, POWERCorps, Habitat for Humanity Restore, Freedom House, Meals on Wheels, Stow-Glen Retirement Community, Kent Social Services, Goodwill, Kent, Miller Community House, and the Campus Green House.
