Super Service Saturday 4/19/14


Volunteers can register up until Friday at Noon the day before the scheduled Super Service Saturday.

Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland - Volunteers will help with various house projects and have the opportunity to interact with those served. Please meet at the Student Center bus stop at 8:15 am. You will meet your student leader and report to your service site from there.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park - This is an exciting service opportunity if you like the outdoors! Volunteers will begin the day by helping park cars and then help plant 250 native trees to reforest an area near the Everett Road Covered Bridge.

Wear comfortable work clothes, long pants (preferably jeans), and sturdy shoes or boots (must be closed toe). Long sleeves are recommended. Bring a full water bottle, snack, hat, and sunscreen. We will provide work gloves, safety glasses, and all necessary tools, and supplies. Instruction and safety guidelines will be provided on-site. Please meet at the Student Center bus stop at 8:30 am. You will meet your student leader and report to your service site from there.

Goodwill - Kent - Volunteers will help organize and sort donations while interacting with staff members and customers. Transportation is provided by PARTA. Please meet at the C-Midway (in front of the ROTC building on front campus) bus stop at 9:40 am. You will meet your student leader and report to your service site from there.

Loaves anf Fishes - Volunteers will be making and serving a hot meal while interacting with customers. Transportation is provided by PARTA. Please meet at the C-Midway (in front of the ROTC building on front campus) bus stop at 9:30 am. You will meet your student leader and report to your service site from there.

Center of Hope - Volunteers will help cook a pancake breakfast and serve the meal to those in need. Transportation is provided by PARTA. Please meet at the C-Midway (in front of the ROTC building on front campus) bus stop at 8:15 am. You will meet your student leader and report to your service site from there.

Please note that we ask all our volunteers to wear comfortable clothes that they don't mind getting dirty, as well as long pants, and closed toed shoes. We also suggest bringing a water bottle and sunscreen if your service site is outdoors.
