Classes: Grades 4-7

ATMTC Academy believes that an education in the performing arts begins with solid technique training, coupled with a variety of performing experiences. Whether you are a recreational student or a professional hopeful, ATMTC Academy offers a unique approach to musical theater and theater education through the combination of traditional musical theater and theater classes, and student productions.

Fall 2014 Semester begins on Monday, September 8th and concludes on Sunday, December 21st.

Enrollment in Dance Classes is now available on an annual basis. Enroll for the full year and save!

Ballet - SC.1 (Spring Semester Only) - 2/2/2015 5:45 PM - 5/11/2015 6:55 PM
Ballet I is for the novice or beginner student. Core body strength, arms and correct turn-out based on a student’s anatomy and muscular development are emphasized at the barre. Center work is focused on the basics of adagio (slow controlled combination), preparation for pirouettes, simple turns across the floor, petit allégro and grand allégro. Before advancing to Ballet II, students must be able to execute these basic exercises. No pre-requisite or placement is required for this course.
Ballet/Jazz Combo- SC/ST.1 (Spring Semester Only) - 2/8/2015 1:15 PM - 5/17/2015 3:15 PM
Ballet/Jazz Combo I is for the novice or beginner student. The combination course allows students to gain a fundamental knowledge of and preparation for the dance forms of both ballet and jazz. Classes consist of learning the standard placement of feet and arms, basic terminology, barre exercises, floor work and simple jazz combinations. No pre-requisite or placement is required for this course.
Ballet/Jazz Combo- SC/ST.2 (Spring Semester Only) - 2/7/2015 10:00 AM - 5/16/2015 12:00 PM
Ballet/Jazz Combo II is for the intermediate student, who possesses a strong foundation and basic vocabulary in both Ballet and Jazz technique. Ballet/Jazz Combo II continues to strengthen technique and flexibility, with the addition of more advanced turns and jazz combinations. After two semesters of study, students are encouraged to study each form separately. Pre-requisite of Ballet/Jazz Combo I is required, or by instructor permission. Contemporary - SC/ST.1 (Spring Semester Only) - 2/7/2015 10:30 AM - 5/16/2015 11:40 AM
Contemporary I/II is for the novice or beginner student. Contemporary dance is a fusion of ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical and many modern dance styles and is integrated in contemporary Broadway dance. Classes consist of barre exercises, floor work and various combinations of multiple dance forms. No pre-requisite or placement is required for this course.
Contemporary - SC/ST.2 (Spring Semester Only) - 2/8/2015 12:00 PM - 5/17/2015 1:10 PM
Contemporary II is for the intermediate student, who possesses a strong foundation and basic vocabulary in Contemporary technique. Contemporary II continues to strengthen technique and flexibility, with the addition of more advanced combinations. Pre-requisite of Contemporary I is required, or by instructor permission.
Jazz- SC/ST.3 (Spring Semester Only) - 2/2/2015 7:00 PM - 5/11/2015 8:10 PM
Jazz III is for the advanced student who is able to master complex movements and combinations. These are the highest level and most advanced students prepping for professional or collegiate study. Classes include intensive strengthening warm-ups, stretching techniques to elongate and encourage muscle strength, across the floor movements, leaps, turns and center combination work. Students will gain increasing knowledge of Jazz terminology, greater strength and flexibility, and an understanding of ever-evolving musical theater Jazz technique. Pre-requisite of Jazz II is required, or by instructor permission.
Pre-Professional Program,Grades 4-7, 2014-15 (Registration) - 9/6/2014 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

The Pre-Professional Program prepares committed and gifted musical theater students in grades 4-12 for college and/or a professional career. Led by a highly qualified faculty, the Pre-Professional Program curriculum provides students with inclusive training in singing, dancing, acting, and performance. ***Students must audition for acceptance to the Pre-Professional Program****

Private Voice Lesson Interest Form - 11/12/2014
Work independently with a professional vocalist and instructor. Each session will include intensive work on vocal technique and study of repertoire suitable for the individual student. Private lessons provide individual instruction geared towards the specific goals, needs and aspirations of each student. No prerequisite required. Previous music study, including completion of Intro to Voice class or Semi-Private Voice Lessons, strongly recommended. Open to students grades 4+.
