CERTIFIED INSPECTOR TRAINING PROGRAM
AT K-STATE SALINA

Program Fees

The class fee includes the book/manuals unless otherwise noted, all class materials, refreshment breaks, and use of laboratory equipment during class.
All registrations are on a first come-first served basis.
You will receive your confirmation and statement by email.

Payment Policy

Payment must be received at least 5 business days before the first day of class or exam date.
If payment is not received by the deadline the participant will be removed from the roster.

Registration:

The registration deadline is 5 business days prior to the class start date or the exam date.
If the class you are looking for is not listed below it is either full or the registration deadline has passed.
Same day substitutions and same day registrations are not allowed. Substitutions are allowed up to 5 business days prior to class/exam start date.


Registration Cancellation/Refund Policy

At the end of your confirmation email is a link to cancel your registration.
In order to receive a refund, less a $20 processing fee,
you must cancel at least 5 business days prior to the class/exam start date.
After the deadline, refunds are not available. If the participant fails to attend or cancel by the deadline, the class fee is still due.

K-State Salina CIT Program may cancel or postpone any course or activity because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances.
If the event is canceled or postponed, the CIT Program office will refund registration fees, but cannot be held responsible for costs, charges, or expenses,
including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, or travel agencies.

Paint, Misc., & Asphalt Sampling Exam - November 7, 2014 - Salina

This exam is offered after the student has watched the modules for this course found on the Paint, Misc. & Asphalt Sampling web page on the CIT website (www.citksu.com). The online course focuses on the correct way to collect and submit samples of asphalt materials, pavement marking materials such as cold plastics, thermoplastics, epoxy pavement marking and traffic paints, bridge paint, glass beads, center mounts and reflective sheeting. This class is NOT required for certification but offered for information only, and is not required to perform any inspection on KDOT projects. The workbook material can be printed from the CIT website. The student must also bring the 2007 KDOT English Specification Book and 2014 Part V.

The Nuclear Gauge Certification course will provide information on the different KT Methods that require the nuclear gauge. Topics covered include: Test KT-32, 36, 38, 41, 51 and Standard Counts. Prerequisite: Radiation Safety Training Certificate. This exam is offered after the student has watched the modules for this course found on the Paint, Misc. & Asphalt Sampling web page on the CIT website (www.citksu.com). The online course focuses on the correct way to collect and submit samples of asphalt materials, pavement marking materials such as cold plastics, thermoplastics, epoxy pavement marking and traffic paints, bridge paint, glass beads, center mounts and reflective sheeting. This class is NOT required for certification but offered for information only, and is not required to perform any inspection on KDOT projects. The workbook material can be printed from the CIT website. The student must also bring the 2007 KDOT English Specification Book and 2014 Part V.

Environmental Inspector Training - June 15-16, 2015 - Wichita

This course is required by the Kansas Department of Transportation for individuals conducting site inspections for compliance with the KDHE general permit. The contractor’s Water Pollution Control Manager (WPCM) is required to have completed both the Environmental Inspector and the Environmental Manager Training within the 12 months prior to beginning construction on a new project. If the WPCM changes during construction, the replacement WPCM must have completed both training courses within the 12 months prior to assuming the WPCM duties.
