Course Description

West Michigan will be welcoming arrivals from Afghanistan - this course is designed to share current information that will assist teachers, school staff, and administrators in educating these students. Topics for this session include: refugee resettlement and arrival processes, cultural and instructional tips, trauma-informed strategies, and current information about the sponsorship model being used in our state.
