Webinar Description

WHY PDx?

We know that you've experienced another “year unlike any other”, so PDx is designed to be flexible and accessible for you. Participate when you can and take a break when you need to. Either way, we'll be here to support your professional growth.

WHAT IS Podcast PDx?

PDx is Professional Development (PD) by (x) podcast. It is a fancy, simplified term for saying that you are receiving professional development in the form of a podcast. The podcast you'll be engaging with will be the LLCN Brief which includes discussions around current research to help listeners enhance practice and improve literacy. This podcast is hosted by Kent ISD's Mark Raffler (Literacy Consultant) and Sarah Shoemaker (Early Literacy Coach) and their special guests.

WHO IS PDx FOR?

PDx is designed for educators who have a demanding schedule and want to stay on top of trends and topics in educational technology and earn SCECH credits.

Presenter

Mark Raffler; Sarah Shoemaker

Mark graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree for Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology.  He has served as an elementary teacher in Plainwell Community Schools, instructional technology specialist for Grand Rapids Public Schools, an Adjunct Professor for Western Michigan University, and most recently an Educational Consultant for the Kent Intermediate School District that specializes in English Language Arts, MTSS and Social Studies.
