This course is intended to train those that will be implementing PROTECT prevention education with middle and high school students. The information that will be covered can be done so in-person or virtually through live facilitation. As a prerequisite, participants are expected to have successfully completed the skills-based human trafficking prevention training (called Journey to PROTECT) in accordance with the Human Trafficking Youth Prevention Education grant.
After completing the course, the participant will be equipped with an understanding of human trafficking, ways to engage with students using a trauma-informed approach, the procedures to follow as a mandated reporter, as well as how to effectively implement middle and high school prevention education curriculum material to diverse student groups.
