Course Description

A Day of Learning and Networking Sponsored by WMCA!

The WMCA Annual Winter Conference is free to all current WMCA members, and membership is required for attendance. We strongly encourage the submission of membership applications prior to the conference. If you are registering the day of the conference, please arrive early. Applications may be obtained at www.wmca1.org. The annual WMCA membership fee remains at $30. If you are paying at the door, a Square Card reader will be available to accept credit cards, but there will be an additional $5 fee per transaction.

Five (5) SCECHs will be available for this event. The SCECH application will be available at the door or on the WMCA Facebook page. NEW CHANGE! There is now NO charge for SCECH application!

Registration and breakfast will be from 7:30 - 8:00 AM.

Breakfast and lunch are complimentary and provided by the WMCA and its sponsors.

Summary of Conference:
The WMCA Annual Winter Conference will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Kent Intermediate School District in the Educational Services Center (ESC). Registration and breakfast will begin at 7:30am, and the conference will conclude at 2:30pm. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and five SCECHs will be available through KISD (there is no fee for processing). Attendees must be members of WMCA, and the membership form and information can be found at www.wmca1.org. This year, topics include: Understanding Anxiety in School Aged Children, Grief & Loss in Children Ages 5-18, Neurofeedback: When?, Why? Who?, Rethinking Suicide & Self-Harm, Understanding Adolescent Substance Abuse, Mindfulness Based Interventions, Managing Values Differences in Mental Health, Trauma: Engaging in Brief Interventions, Depression in the Modern Age, and EDP/Career Readiness platform for schools.
