Webinar Description

Health Ambassadors are teachers, school counselors and school nurses that serve as advocates for health in their school district. These individuals meet to share ideas across school districts, learn about trending health topics, and provide new ideas to the Kent ISD health team for future programming and collaborate to promote health initiatives at their local level. Kent ISD provides Health Ambassadors as a link between local community experts and resources for teachers to provide the most accurate information to students.

During the May meeting the hot topics to be addressed through panel discussion will be: 1) Human trafficking; 2) Opioid Substance Abuse & Misuse; 3) STI Statistics for Kent County; and 4) SHAPE Michigan professional learning opportunities.

This is a virtual, live panel presentation and discussion with two offered SCECHs.
