Webinar Description

Join us in exploring and engaging in resources to support conversations in your building/district on the science of teaching reading and the critical role foundation skills play in reading instruction. Also review sample scope and sequences or reading that should be considered when supporting current materials in your buildings. Delve deeper into instructional routines and resources to strengthen foundation skill instruction and then identify necessary “look fors” in KDG - 5th grade curricula, including access to videos demonstrating foundation skill instruction in action.

Online Delivery:

Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic there are some changes in the way we are running this professional learning session.

  1. Meeting will be held virtually.
  2. Meeting will be held through zoom – zoom connection information to come prior to the actual course.
  3. Here is the outline of timing for the day:
  • First learning session 9-11 am (2 hours)
  • Lunch break 11 am – noon (1 hour)
  • Second Learning session 12 – 2pm (2 hours)
  • The day will end at about 2pm.

Accessing the materials for the course will be done electronically. We will have PDF copies of all handouts accessible to you on the day of the course.
