The mission of the Career Readiness Network is to provide a place where counselors and administrators can come together to gather new resources, learn from each other, and share best practices for developing career readiness skills in K-12 students. Each session in this series will focus on a different topic surrounding Career Readiness. The topic for this final session on April 20, 2023 is Skilled Trades and Apprenticeships.

Participants are welcome to attend one or all sessions. SCECHs will be provided individually for each session.
For school counselors: Career Readiness Network events will be submitted to the state as credit for Career SCECHs, aside from October 20th's session which will be submitted as College Preparation and Selection.

Samantha Jackson

Samantha Jackson (she/her) is a Career Readiness Consultant at Kent ISD, working with local educators to help students make more informed career decisions by integrating career development and exploration into the K-12 curriculum. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Alma College and a Master of Science in Higher Education from the University of North Dakota. Prior to this role, she spent nearly 8 years working in college career services at schools around the country including the University of North Dakota, University of Georgia, University of Louisville, and most recently, Michigan State University.
