Course Description

Purpose
Evaluate how blended learning can be used to personalize learning in a 6­-12 environment. Participants will enhance a unit they are already teaching by blending digital tools and face to face instruction.

Objective

  • Analyze how to implement blended learning in classroom instruction
  • Understand the need for creating a blended learning environment and the drivers of blended learning.
  • Intentionally design lesson components best suited for digital and face­to­face instruction in a chosen unit.
  • Learn how to utilize a Learning Management System
  • Create assessments that inform instruction.
  • Learn the usefulness of a PLN
