There are so many pieces of the college admissions puzzle, it can be difficult for students, and educators, to keep track of it all. Tune in to learn about some of the nuances of the college admissions and selection process. We will offer four sessions throughout the 2022/2023 school year, each focused on a unique topic.

Please note: In order to receive SCECHs for this program, attendees MUST complete the online form shared out during the event upon its completion. Sign-ups through the PD Hub alone will NOT constitute record of attending. Session will be submitted to the state as credit for College Preparation and Selection SCECHs based on time attended.

Also: This session will be available through May 20, 2023. As such, attendees viewing the on demand version will not receive SCECHs for individual events they participate in UNTIL the completion of the school year. At that point, PD Hub staff will submit all attendee information at once to the state for SCECHs.

For school counselors: Unless otherwise noted, all Navigating College Preparation events will be submitted to the state as credit for College SCECHs.

SCECHs for these courses will be uploaded by March 10, 2023 and June 10, 2023. Therefore, if you complete the course prior to these dates you will not see SCECHs in your MOECS account until after they are uploaded in January, March or June 2023. Please do not contact PD Hub inquiring about your SCECHs until after each upload period if you think they are missing. For example, if you complete this course on Dec. 1, 2022, we will upload your SCECHs by January 10, 2023. Here is the full SCECH upload schedule for this course:

Samantha Jackson (she/her) is a Career Readiness Consultant at Kent ISD, working with local educators to help students make more informed career decisions by integrating career development and exploration into the K-12 curriculum. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Alma College and a Master of Science in Higher Education from the University of North Dakota. Prior to this role, she spent nearly 8 years working in college career services at schools around the country including the University of North Dakota, University of Georgia, University of Louisville, and most recently, Michigan State University.
