This workshop will take a critical look at the role of Academic Vocabulary in developing comprehension skills. We will investigate the top 15 A-List Academic Words that most impact student learning and achievement. In addition, we will look at how to develop academic language for our English Learners as well as Native speakers. Strategies for developing Tier II and III words in the classroom will be shared. Each participant will receive a Professional Book on vocabulary/language development, as well as digital resources to use.
