In this workshop we’ll split time between learning about various powerful and popular social media tools and what digital citizenship is and should look like in your classroom. In this workshop we’ll learn about Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and YouTube (and maybe others if time allows). We’ll focus on ways you (and your students) can use social media in your classroom to enhance learning and be teaching your students about digital citizenship using tools they’re interested in. Come tackle your fears of social media, see how seamlessly you can infuse digital citizenship lessons into your “regular school day programming” and have fun doing it while learning about tools that meet your students where they are! Bring your technology with you (which could include your phone, tablet, and/or laptop) to get the most out of this workshop.
