Do you find your school often debating whether an EL student has a possible Learning Disability and needs referred for special services OR whether it is a language issue?? This is one of the most difficult processes to work through. Come join national presenter, Dr. Tom Jenkins, to learn about and discuss research based methodologies for determining if an EL student is eligible to receive special education services, as well as how to determine whether it is a language acquisition issue versus a learning disability. Discussion on best practices of writing IEP’s for EL’s who will receive special education services will also be included in the day.
