Everyone says they teach writing through “mini-lessons…” but what is a mini-lesson really? In this practical one-day workshop, Kristina Smekens identifies the characteristics of a powerful writing mini-lesson and then shows participants how to integrate key components into a 10-15 minute whole-class presentation. Beyond a single lesson, participants will also learn how to prepare and deliver a multi-day mini-lesson series
This workshop will be held at Hobart High School in Hobart, IN. You will enter through Door 1 and will meet in the Brickie Stop.
