Principals and team will complete an in-depth study of their school’s data to determine root causes of school letter grade. The team will then create a plan with goals and timelines to address issues to turnaround school status. School principal must attend each meeting. The team members attending with the principal can be the same group for each meeting or change with each session, whichever is best for your school.

The Turnaround School Academy consists of 6 sessions:
Day 1 - October 2, 2017
Day 2 - October 3, 2017
Day 3 - November 6, 2017
Day 4 - December 4, 2017
Day 5 - January 22, 2018
Day 6 - February 5, 2018
Time: 9:00-3:00 each day (lunch on your own)
Registration is $695.00 (this includes all team members for all sessions)
*Cost of all workshops are based on membership in an Indiana ESC. Any registrants who are not members of an ESC in the state of Indiana will be required to pay the non-member fee of twice the amount of the workshop cost.
WVEC CANCELLATION POLICY:
* Registrants who notify WVEC of their cancellation on or before the registration deadline date will not be required to pay the registration fee.
* Registrants who cancel after the registration deadline but before the workshop date or call to cancel on the day of the workshop will pay 50% of the registration fee.
* Registrants who neglect to call or notify the WVEC of their cancellation will be responsible for paying the full fee.
* On official school corporation weather-related cancellation days, registrants will not be required to pay registration fees.
Dianne McKinley holds an Ed.S from St. Thomas University in K-12 Educational Leadership. She also holds a B.S.Ed. from the University of Georgia and an M.Ed. from Georgia State University in Elementary Education. She has been in education for over 20 years and has worked in Georgia, Alabama, Minnesota and Indiana. Dianne has been a classroom teacher, writing coach, building level administrator, and most recently an Outreach Coordinator for the Indiana Department of Education. Throughout her career, Dianne has had the privilege of serving students from extremely diverse backgrounds. She has experience with STEM, Gifted Education, Title I, and EL. Dianne has written and received many grants to fund various school initiatives. She has done extensive work with schools and districts on School Turnaround. Dianne has been providing professional development to educators for the past 18 years. She is proud to serve Indiana Educators as they strive for excellence.
