Celebrate National Pollinator Week with this half-day introduction to drawing with colored pencils, using one of North Carolina's many butterflies as the reference. Students are given step-by-step instruction. During the course, information about our native butterflies is also provided. No prerequisites.

About the Instructor

Linda Koffenberger is a professional artist and art instructor who works in colored pencil, watercolor and egg tempera.  She is self-taught and is convinced that anyone with the wish to draw can learn to draw.  She has been teaching visual art for over ten years and gets great satisfaction out of watching people unlock their creative side in her classes and workshops. 

She has won numerous awards, including the CIPPY Award (Best-in-Show) in the 14th International Exhibition of the Colored Pencil Society of America.
