Seeds as Medicine

This two hour class takes us on an explorative journey from the tiny sesame to the giant coconut. We will discover the medicinal and edible properties offered by many of our most common seeds. Besides holding the genetic imprint for the continuation of their species, they also contain many life supporting nutrients that support the physical and emotional well-being of humans and other members of the animal kingdom. Let’s explore this vast cornucopia of color, shapes and sizes and see what new surprises Mother Nature have in store for us.

About the presenter:
Suki Roth has been a student of the plants for the last 22 years. She is the founder and creator of Herb Haven, a vibrant teaching garden located in the Haw River Valley of the Piedmont NC. The garden is dedicated to the education, growth, and preservation of medicinal herbs. Suki is involved in the entire process of the production of her herbal products, planting, harvesting, formulating and packaging. Suki is a community herbalist who serves as educator, plant guide and herbal medicine consultant. Her life’s passion is sharing her intuitive wisdom, knowledge of the plants and personal guidance with the wider community
