Wei-Ting Chi is a botanical artist currently residing in Taipei, Taiwan. She studied Botany in college and was fascinated by the diversity of plants and the scientific illustrations in plant morphology textbooks. During that time, painting was only one of her hobbies. She moved to Durham, NC with her husband in 2014, and decided to expand her painting hobby with her botany background. She enrolled in the Botanical Art and Illustration Certificate Program at the North Carolina Botanical Garden in 2015, and graduated in 2018. From this program, she experienced the overwhelming joy in creating botanical art, and that became her motivation to keep exploring the world of nature and art! She returned to Taiwan in 2020, and started to hold workshops and classes in Taipei. To view her current artworks follow her on Facebook www.facebook.com/weitingchi.art and Instagram at www.instagram.com/weitingchi.art/
