Watercolor and Colored Pencil Trees and Their Seeds
with Beverly Dyer, MSN, RN, Cert. Bot. Illustr.


 

Date: Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

 

Trees and seeds are works of art and provide metaphors for life. Join certified botanical illustrator Beverly Dyer in exploring native North Carolina trees and their seeds with watercolor and colored pencil. Participants have the option of drawing and painting trees from provided materials and specimens, or working with colored pencil from pen and ink prints. No art experience required. Fee: $22 (NCBG Members$20)

Supplies:
Watercolor paper - cold pressed blocks work best when working wet into wet
brushes - small and medium round and flat
Colored pencils - provided
Photo and specimen references of NC native trees (Red Maple, American Elm, Sweetgum, Tulip Poplar, Persimmon, Redbud) - provided
