Weekly classes starting Tuesday, April 23, 2019 through Tuesday, June 4, 2019; from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
In our drawing classes, children learn to use observation, memory and imagination to link the drawing experience to art concepts such as shape and form, texture and shadow, and the relationships between elements in a drawing, in both realistic and abstract work. Students may take the same level class more than once; lessons will not repeat. No supplies are needed. Students are encouraged to dress for art-making!
Danforth Art reserves the right to cancel any class, to change instructors, or to reschedule individual classes as needed. We are unable to offer make-up classes if students are absent. Full refunds will be made if a class is canceled by Danforth Art.
Students wishing to cancel a registration must contact the school. Refunds will be given as follows: if the cancellation occurs after the first class, we will refund 80% of tuition cost; after the second class we will refund 60% of the tuition cost; after the third class, there is no refund. Exceptions to this policy can be made only in the event of an emergency. Class tuition is not prorated due to student absences.
Danforth Art is a Museum and School that invites you to see, learn about, create, and be inspired by art. From the very beginning, Danforth Art has offered a robust series of studio art classes, workshops, and other offerings. During its first term, starting March 1, 1975, Danforth art offered beginning and advanced courses in drawing, painting, printmaking, and other disciplines. And, although our programming has changed over the years, the goal was, and remains, to provide consistently high-quality art-making experiences, taught by professional artists and art educators, and to use authentic works of art to inspire creativity and inquiry in our studios. There are no museum galleries or exhibitions currently in this building.
