Target Audience

Licensed health professionals with experience in fetal monitoring interpretation who are interested in taking the certificate of added qualification for electronic fetal monitoring offered by the National Certification Corporation (NCC).

This program will present current evidence-based practices and test taking strategies related to electronic fetal monitoring for licensed health professionals with experience in fetal monitoring interpretation who are interested in taking the certificate of added qualification for electronic fetal monitoring offered by the National Certification Corporation (NCC).

 

Program Objectives:

  • Review the electronic fetal monitoring equipment
  • Describe the underlying physiology of fetal heart rate patterns
  • Review NICHD definitions and pattern management
  • Discuss fetal heart rate tracings encountered during complications of labor
  • Identify tests utilized for adjunct fetal assessment
  • Identify the professional issues related to fetal monitoring


In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form within 30 days of the program.
