This course is for those individuals who are participating in the BLS, ACLS, PALS, or Heartsaver Instructor process to become certified instructors. One instructor manual is included with each registration. If you need to purchase classroom DVDs or other materials please purchase those directly at https://www.laerdal.com/us/AHA.
After completion of the AHA Instructor Course, you will have the opportunity to observe a current instructor teaching the course to gain knowledge and have time to ask any additional questions. Next, you will be required to teach a class within six months of the course while the training center faculty instructor observes. This is a requirement in order to receive your instructor AHA card. This class is open to all disciplines, Heartsaver, BLS, ACLS and PALS. You must have a current AHA card in the discipline you would like to teach.
This class is NOT eligible to offer Continuing Education contact hours.

Cost: $150.00 - This covers the cost of the course and the materials needed.
There is an additional $30.00 cost to cover a mandatory American Heart Association online course. This course must be completed prior to the Instructor course.
The book will be mailed to you two weeks before the class start date. If you need to cancel, you must do so at least 2 weeks in advance for a full refund. If it is under two weeks, a partial refund will be issued to cover the cost of the book, postage, and processing.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
No continuing education hours are offered for this class.
