Target Audience

The purpose of this program is to provide interdisciplinary education for bedside clinicians to assist patients and families experiencing perinatal loss and or the loss of a newborn.

The purpose of this program is to provide interdisciplinary education for bedside clinicians to assist patients and families experiencing perinatal loss and/or the loss of a newborn.

 

Program Objectives:

  • Assess the grief process and individual responses related to perinatal loss and or the loss of a newborn
  • Identify resources and apply protocols/guidelines to provide individualized care of the patient and family experiencing perinatal loss or loss of a newborn
  • Describe the needs of the caregiver and resources to avoid compassion fatigue

 

In order to receive continuing education credit for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form
