Primary Care Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Endocrinologists, ENT, General Surgery, Nurses, and other Ancillary Professionals.


This program will expand on concepts of value-based care and how these practices are being implemented in Nebraska.


Program Objectives:

  • Describe optimal selection of thyroid cancer patients for observational management
  • Describe the likelihood of disease progression during observation
  • Demonstrate how the 8th edition AJCC/TNM staging system can be integrated with the ATA Risk stratification system
  • Describe dynamic risk stratification which allows refinement of initial risk estimates over time.
  • Discuss pros and cons of remote access thyroid nodule evaluation
  • Understand the concept of value-based care, and its significance to healthcare systems in United States
  • Recognize opportunities and challenges related to graduate medical education and its interaction with clinical care for patients with thyroid disorders
