Methodist Health System employees who provide their employee ID number on the registration form may take this course at no cost. NMC Alumni who provide graduation year and last name at graduation may take this course at no cost. NMC students can attend at no cost but do not receive CE.

We welcome all nurses, dieticians, social workers, health & wellness coaches and other healthcare professions interested in learning more about lifestyle wellness.


Details

Learn more about ways to prevent, treat, and possibly reverse many chronic diseases through Lifestyle Medicine.

 

Program Objectives:

  • Define Lifestyle Medicine and understand the relationship between Lifestyle Medicine and Chronic Disease

  • Identify lifestyle changes that you can make to prevent, treat, and possibly reverse chronic diseases

  • Examine health and wellness coaching strategies for empowering people to make healthy lifestyle choices

  • Explore ideas for incorporating lifestyle medicine programs into worksite wellness programs

 

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form

This CE course is approved by NBHWC for 1.0 continuing education units (CEP # 100201).

Education Credit

1.0 Education hours. Nebraska Methodist College Division of Professional Development assigns education hours based on 60 minutes of classroom instruction for each offering. Participants may use these for their professional continuing education hours and toward re-licensure if so approved within the standards and guidelines of their discipline.
