Methodist Health System employees who provide their employee ID number on the registration form may take this course at no cost. NMC students can attend at no cost (they do not receive CE). Employees of Perinatal Outreach hospitals and Alumni receive 75% off of the program's value.


This program is for newer NICU nurses or those that have minimal NICU admissions, and/or working in a Level II NICU hospital setting.


The purpose of this course is to provide a forum that increases knowledge related to nursing care of term and pre-term infant. Topics include developmental care in the NICU, Infant Nutrition, Common NICU Medications, and more!


Program Objectives:

  • Describe at least one feeding readiness cue
  • Discuss common NICU procedures
  • Discuss preterm infant nutrition
  • Discuss developmental care in the neonatal intensive care unit


In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form within 30 days of the program
