Methodist Health System employees who provide their employee ID number on the registration form may take this course at no cost. NMC students can attend at no cost (they do not receive CE). Employees of Perinatal Outreach hospitals and Alumni receive 75% off of the program's value.


All nurses and healthcare professionals who work with postpartum women.


The purpose of this course is to provide a forum that increases knowledge related to nursing care of postpartum mothers. Topics include postpartum assessment, diabetes, postpartum hemorrhage, and more!


Program Objectives:

  • Discuss normal physiologic changes of pregnancy and postpartum.
  • Discuss assessment and management techniques for postpartum hemorrhage.
  • Describe cardiovascular complications
  • Discuss maternal infections and treatment options


In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form within 30 days of the program
