Details

 

Learning in Retirement at Nebraska Methodist College is an educational series targeted to retired community members who have an interest in healthcare related topics. The program allows seniors to enhance their knowledge, build relationships with others, and learn how to positively impact their health through lifestyle changes, prevention, and disease management. Each month will focus on a different healthcare topic that impacts seniors.

 

A heart healthy light breakfast will be provided.

Presenter

Mark Pickeral is a medical student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, looking to specialize in emergency medicine. He attended UNO for undergraduate, where he received a bachelor's in biology. For the past 3 years he has taught Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support at Nebraska Methodist College and prior to medical school worked at Nebraska Medicine for 7 years. He has always loved teaching and being able to share his experiences with others in a fun and engaging way.
