Target Audience

Nurses preparing to sit for the Critical Care Nursing certification exam.


Details

The purpose of this activity is to enable participants to increase their knowledge and preparation for successful passage of the CCRN certification examination.

 

Program Objectives:

 

Day 1

Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in patients with cardiovascular disorders. 4 hours

Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in patients with endocrine disorders. 1 hour

Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in patients with renal and electrolyte disorders. 45 minutes

Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in patients with hematologic and integumentary disorders. 30 minutes

Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in patients with gastrointestinal disorders. 1 hour

Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in patients with multisystem disorders including shock states and sepsis. 45 minutes

 

Day 2

Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in patients with multisystem disorders including shock states and sepsis. 90 minutes

Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in patients with pulmonary disorders. 195 minutes

Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in patients with neurologic disorders. 105 minutes

Apply the physiological-based knowledge required for sound clinical judgment in patients with Musculoskeletal disorders. 15 minutes

Describe key behavioral and psychosocial aspects of the critically-ill patient. 15 minutes

Describe the nurse characteristics of the Synergy Model as they relate to professional caring and ethical practice for patients and families. 30 minutes

Discuss strategies for successful passage of certification examination. 30 minutes

 

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form within 30 days of the program.
