Audience

Nurses who work in the role of a SANE or Forensic Nurse Examiner.


Details

To provide further and updated education for the experienced Adolescent/Adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.

 

Program Objectives:

  • Understand the effects of trauma and how we can promote resiliency in survivors.
  • Identify effective assessments and interventions for human trafficking victims.
  • Explore the most recent updates in SANE interventions and evidence collection.
  • Describe the difference between fact and expert witness testimony.
  • Gain comfort and understanding while participating in a mock sexual assault trial.

 

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form within 30 days of the program
