Target Audience

Nurses, social workers, sonographers, and other clinicians working with patients experiencing perinatal or newborn loss.


Details

The purpose of this program is to provide interdisciplinary education for bedside clinicians to assist patients and families experiencing perinatal loss and or the loss of a newborn.

 

Program Objectives:

  • Assess the grief process and individual responses related to perinatal loss and or the loss of a newborn.
  • Describe the needs of the caregiver and resources to avoid compassion fatigue.
  • Identify resources and apply protocols/guidelines to provide individualized care of the patient and family experiencing perinatal loss or loss of a newborn.

 

In order to receive continuing education credit for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form
