Methodist Health System employees who provide their employee ID number on the registration form may take this course at no cost. NMC students can attend at no cost (they do not receive CE). NMC Alumni receive 75% off of the program's value.


Nurses, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, dosimetrists, radiologic technicians, and other healthcare professionals caring for patients with pulmonary infections and disease.


This program will provide current information and evidence-based guidelines that will enhance clinical and professional practices related to the care of patients with pulmonary disease. Topics include vaping dangers, Live on Nebraska Organ Recovery and other pertinent pulmonary education!


Program Objectives:

  • Discuss the impact of vaping on respiratory health
  • Discover radiation impacts on cancer patients.
  • Review Live on Nebraska guidelines
  • Recognize the impact gut health can have in respiratory disease
  • Identify management updates for COPD


In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form within 30 days of the program

Continuing Education

Nurses: 3.75 contact hours awarded. MWMSD Approved Provider #NE1022-1. Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by Midwest Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.


Dosimetrists: This activity is pending approval by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).


Radiologic Technology: American Society of Radiologic Technologists Department of Education credit is pending.


Respiratory Therapist: This program meets the continuing education criteria for 3.75 clock hours for Nebraska and Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioners.


Education Credit: 3.75 Education hours. Nebraska Methodist College Professional Development assigns education hours based on 60 minutes of classroom instruction for each offering. Participants may use these for their professional continuing education hours and toward re-licensure if so approved within the standards and guidelines of their discipline.
