Methodist Health System employees who provide their employee ID number on the registration form may take this course at no cost. NMC students can attend at no cost (they do not receive CE).

NICHE Joint Provider agency employees (those from Bryan Health, Immanuel Communities and Sanford USD Medical Center) can register for $38.00.


Audience

Nurses, Social Workers, LMHP's, Care Managers, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Medical Assistants, and other healthcare professionals with an interest in the care of the older adult.


Details

This conference will provide best practices in the care of older adults across the continuum of care.

 

Program Objectives:

  • Describe the purpose and membership of the international collaboration of orthopaedic nursing
  • Review the internationally developed consensus guidelines for best practice care of older adults with fragility hip fracture
  • Describe how implementing specific evidence-based care strategies improved patient outcomes across Sweden.
  • Describe the process of creating and testing an audit of nursing quality indicators specific to the care of older adults with hip fracture, and much more!

 

In order to receive continuing education hours for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:

  • Attendance at the entire activity
  • Completion/submission of evaluation form within 30 days of the program.
