CHILD CARE EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
This course will assist participants in learning to identify the hazards and risks associated with child care facilities. Included will be the eight national best practices for child care emergency preparedness. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop an emergency preparedness plan and gain the knowledge and tools necessary to best communicate, practice and update those plans on a regular basis.
**THIS TRAINING MEETS THE NEW FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS!
Kayla Cox Grosshart has been in the field of Early Childhood Education as a preschool and school age teacher and director from 1981 until 2013 in the Kansas City and Springfield, Missouri areas. She led conferences for teachers and providers throughout that time. She obtained bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Sociology from SBU in 1984 and a Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction in 2004. In addition to being a trainer and child care specialist for Child Care Aware of Southern Missouri, Kayla teaches Early Childhood Education courses on the college level.
