Topic: Co-Existence and Co-Resistance – Becoming an Ally for Indigenous Peoples

This workshop will focus on what decolonization means and what roles and responsibilities might be involved in this process. We will discuss how identity/power shapes us, and how we can come from a place of understanding to create change. Participants will discuss and explore what it means to become an ally for Indigenous peoples.

Series Description:
This series is designed for educators with limited, or no knowledge, of Indigenous approaches to learning and ways of knowing. There will be opportunities for members of the Queen’s community to learn about Indigenous pedagogy and learn/share practical tips for implementation in a safe and supportive environment.
