Everything you always wanted to know about contracts but were afraid to ask.
What do a lease, a purchase order, and terms and conditions for an app all have in common? They're all contracts, and when you sign on the dotted line or click “I accept” you are binding the university to a legal agreement. Do you know what you're signing? Have you actually read the fine print? If not, you may be exposing the university to significant legal risk. This session brings together experts from across the university to address the basics of contracts—including indemnities, liability, and insurance—and the potential pitfalls to avoid with particular types of contracts.
