Students will gain knowledge of the OSHA compliance Standards for commercial facilities. Environmental health and safety regulations in the workplace will be explained. Topics for discussion will include; Introduction to OSHA, walking and working surfaces, exit routes, electrical, personal protective equipment and hazard communication. Other discussions will include keeping the workplace safe, clean-up methods, indoor air quality, mold, refrigerants, asbestos, lead and disposal of hazardous materials. Students will learn how to develop a maintenance checklist and accomplish significance of posting MSDS forms in a facility.
