PLC Industrial Control Basics

The student will be introduced to using ladder logic to program a PLC at two levels. The course starts out on a nano PLC. Once competent with the basic instructions, the student will then choose a platform to program more complex PLCs. Choose from Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE Fanuc and Omron PLCs. A minimal level of knowledge in Basic Electricity and Computers is required. This course will include all of the basics such as number systems, Boolean logic, PLC architecture, communications, contacts, coils, timers, counters, and latching instructions.
