This is the online version of the 5 day Residential Energy Auditor Training course. This self-directed online course provides students with an alternative to the five day classroom training program. It provides basic training for how to assess the potential for improving home energy efficiency and comfort.
The REA program is suited for employees or individuals who are performing or interested in utility sponsored residential energy conservation audits and working with the low income weatherization program. While this course does not teach you how to use energy auditor software, you will learn the basic principles and the critical calculations on which industry software is based.
Technical Requirements: There’s a lot of video in this course. For optimal playback you’ll
need a sound card, high speed Internet connection and a supported browser. Simply put: If you can watch videos on YouTube, this web site (ELN) will work for you.
