Residential Energy Auditor Training

Time: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
This five-day course provides basic training to improve energy efficiency and comfort within a home. The combination of lecture and lab will cover: The Principles of Energy, Energy and The Building Shell, Air Leakage, Insulation, Window and Doors, Heating, Cooling, Water Heating, Lighting and Appliances, Health and Safety. A competency examination will be included with the cost of this course. Successfully passing this examination demonstrates that the student meets the State of Minnesota's minimum qualifications for the residential energy auditors.
Course Cost: $1,200
Cost includes two books: 'Residential Energy-Cost Savings & Comfort for Existing Buildings' and 'Evaluating Home Performance', handouts and one examination on the last day of the class. Students do have the option of one retest for $75.00. Students will earn a Dunwoody course completion certificate if they obtain 100% attendance in the 5 day course.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received by noon one prior to the start date and time for a full refund. No refunds will be given after this date and time.
